busy bees

I feel like I have been going going going nonstop since Christmas. So here is a little update on my life the past month. 

Side note... work is for the birds... not getting a Christmas vacation isn't fun.... BRING BACK WINTER BREAK! 

We had our annual Christmas Party at Kayla's the Saturday before Christmas. It's so weird how much our Christmas parties have changed as we have gotten older. We just all bring food and drinks and just hangout.  We also had another Christmas party that night at Curtis' house. They were both so much fun and I love my friends oh so much!

One of my best friends Sandy came home for Christmas and brought her sweet baby Hayden. I love getting to have lazy nights in with them.

Christmas was a mess at the McMahon/Browne house this year. We had so many Christmases to go too. I am not a HUGE fan of Christmas food but I suffered through it. We had a wonderful Christmas and I am so blessed to have the family I have. We have Christmas Eve with my dad's family and Christmas Day is split up between time with dad, time with mom, and time with Dr B's fam jam. We all got so many wonderful things this year. On Christmas Day after we finish presents we ALWAYS watch as many movies as we can that we got for Christmas. This might be one of my favorite parts!! Christmas night we have homemade spaghetti that mom cooks and everyone comes over and eats. YUM!

Next was new years! We stayed in town this year . Kortney's birthday is on New Years Day so we all had a little get together at Curtis' house before we went out. It was fun we had food and drinks. Just a good time! I of course couldn't find ANYTHING to wear and had to borrow something of Jami's... this is very typical. The next day we went over to Clay's house to celebrate Kortney's birthday day again. We played mine and Jami's favorite game.... PHASE 10. If you haven't ever played it I highly recommend it.

A few nights later we cooked dinner for some of Jami's High School friends, Blake and Miller were home for Christmas. We cooked Chicken Enchilada Pasta. We have made it before and it was an even bigger hit this time. What started out as a few people coming over to eat turned into us all hanging out all night. It was a lot of fun but work the next day wasn't...

I still haven't seen ANY movies this Christmas... this is very unlike me. I love movies especially once that come out in December and Summer. ha but I will be going to see the Hobbit soon... I hope.

Week in review

These last two weeks have been very hectic. I don't feel like I have just had a minute to myself not to mention a whole night. But its okay because it's ALMOST CHRISTMAS!!!

One of my good friends owns a store in Dothan, AL called the Freckled Frog and last Tuesday we had a Trunk Show for her. We had a great turn out and it was fun to try on all the different clothes. If you haven't you should like her facebook page!

Last Friday my friend Kayla graduated from Law School. YAY! We all went to dinner to celebrate then had a girls night... well a girls weekend! Saturday night our favorite band was playing Whiskey River Band and we had a Tacky Christmas Party to go to. We dressed up as 2 snowmen, 2 gingerbread men and a reindeer. needless to say we were a hit at the bar. We homemade our whole costume which was fun but a lot more work then we realized.

Monday night was an end of an era.... Gossip Girl ended. I'm still not sure how I feel about this. I loved this show and all their drama. Especially Blair and Chuck. I think almost everyone wants their own Chuck Bass... I know I do. But out of all the shows I watch that have ended this has been my most favorite.It was just a very happy ending and everyone was happy ( especially Chuck and Blair and their cute son!!!!) and I was okay with who Gossip girl is. Even though now I want to go back and re-watch everything and see if it makes sense. I just hope it really is true that they are coming out with a movie.

Last night I went to moms and cooked dinner and we made some goodies. If you haven't tried the Kraft Fresh Takes then you should. You buy them in the grocery store by the cheese and it is just seasoning that you can put on chicken. It is easy and taste WONDERFUL!!! I dip the chicken in butter then into the seasoning then bake for 30 to 45 minutes on 350 and it's done.

We also made Oreo balls, chocolate covered everything, mini cakes, and the cute reindeer cokes. It was a fun night hanging out with ole Pammy.

I felt like it took me weeks but I finally got all my Christmas cards out and I'm almost done shopping. A few more little things here and there and one but thing but after that I'm DONE! This is the first Christmas ever that I have been a head of the game. and I still have a whole weekend to shop.

Sister got a new dog... Jax. Him and Riley are Best Friends! They run and play all day long ha they love each other. I think Riley is just a friendly dog because every dog she meets she is best friends with them.

This is something I would say and it made me laugh. If you know me you know I am not strong even a little and at one point I couldn't do a push-up.  Just so y'all know I can now do FIVE! 

This is my favorite bible verse and it has been popping up everywhere lately so I just wanted to share it!

Christmas Stache

Merry Christmas from Casey and Jami's house! This is our first ever Christmas to decorate for real living on our own! We love Christmas and love all of our decorations! I don't know about y'all but growing up I always hated putting Christmas decorations up because I had no say in it and we had to do what ever mom wanted... well this year we got to decide and I loved every minute of it. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas so far! I know I am! I hope y'all have a good of a time decorating as me and Jami did!

But don't forget what Christmas is really about. I wish everyone that reads this blog would do something nice for someone in need or even just a complete stranger... You could do something as simple as smiling and wishing everyone you see a good day to paying for the persons meal behind you in the drive-thru or getting a present for a family with small children. Christmas is not about what you receive but about spreading joy and God's love. So try it! Please I promise you will feel better about yourself and you will have made that persons day.

Happy Thursday!!! Here are a few things that made me happy today!

Colorado... I wish I could visit, only for a week though because y'all know I don't deal with cold that good... but I love a good ice skating rink, coffee, and a fire. So I could do a week here. and I have always wanted to learn to snowboard.

How I feel most days about A LOT of people... just a little water balloon on someone would make everyone happier. 

Dream house. Its so cute and I could sit outside on the porch and read a book. 

I always said all I need is a good bathroom and I would be a happy camper. I have added a few things since then but still a huge bathroom is all I need.

Thanksgiving

I had a GREAT Thanksgiving! It went by way too fast but it was still a lot of fun. I got to spend time with lots of friends old and new and had a total of 4 thanksgivings to eat at. By Thursday night I was full to the max.

My favorite Thanksgiving was Tuesday night over at Kortney and Jareds. We all brought food and just hung out and ate. This wasn't your typical Thanksgiving it was an airing of grievances one and I was a nervous wreck all day thinking someone was going to say something mean about me... but I dodged a bullet while others weren't as lucky....

As most of y'all know Alabama might ( if we beat Georgia) go to the National Championship and play Notre Dame. Little do y'all know Half of my family are Notre Dame fans. Like die hard crazy ones.. weird I know. Well at thanksgiving we all had to wear our team shirts for a house divided picture. Ha it was pretty funny. But my grandmother wasn't the happiest that all the grand kids were Alabama fans.

I didn't participate in Black Friday this year... It would have just been way to much for me. I don't like people touching me so being in line with hundreds of people isn't really my cup of tea.

This weekend was also the Iron Bowl and a few of my friends from Florence came and I got to spend time with them. I finally stopped being lame and went to tailgate and went to the game. Our friend Kylee got me and Jami 4th quarter passes and we went to the box during 4th quarter.

To finish off the week we had some of Jami's friends over last night and cooked our favorite meal Baked Spaghetti. It was a hit like it always is. If you have never made it before you should. Here is the recipe.

All in all it was a great week with great friends.

Shopping

I am on top of this blogging thing here lately!

So I got lots of money for my birthday I was going to use it to go to Miami but I decided to wait and go later so now I have all this on line shopping to do.... well folks I found a new store that I'm obsessed with! It's called Sheinside I love it. I bought 4 sweaters from it yesterday. I am obsessed with all of them and they weren't expensive. I try and look around and get the best deals I can on clothes and such and when I stumbled across this website I was in love... and I stumbled across it from PINTEREST! yes they do have some pricey things but they are worth the price! I found a sweater that I have been looking for EVERYWHERE! I can't wait till they come in and I can wear them!!

Birthday celebration

My Birthday was WONDERFUL! I have the best friends and family anyone could ever ask for. I actually love being 25 , the whole day and a half that I've been 25 ha but I still love it. Here are some pictures from all my birthday celebrations this week!!

I woke up yesterday morning and my wonderful roommate, Jami, decorated my room and bathroom and kitchen!! I love her oh so much!

Kristy and Jami got me these two little birthday presents! I love the earrings and CAN NOT WAIT TO SPEND THE GIFT CARD!

We had my family birthday dinner Sunday and had one of my favorite meals baked spaghetti! It was me mom, Dr Browne, Jami, sister, Mark, Hannah and my new friend Scarlet who is just like Chelsea Handler. ha We had fun and got to spend wonderful family time talking and laughing!

We went to Outback Tuesday night to eat with my Granny!

If you know me you know I love CARDS!! These were 3 of the cards I got from my sweet friends!

These were presents from my mom!! They were wonderful I am very very spoiled!!

When I got to work yesterday these were sitting on my desk! I love my boss, Twila, so much! She also got me a chocolate cake with chocolate icing!! It was AMAZING! I can't wait to start crafting with my burlap!

Yesterday we went to Taco Casa ( another one of my favorites) for lunch! It was me, mom, Hannah and Jami! I seriously love them so much!

I had the best dinner last night with all of my friends! ( minus Mary, Lindsay, Sandy and baby Hayden and Josh- they live to far away to come visit me!) but everyone else was there and we had a great time! We went to Pepito's for margarita's and it was wonderful! Some of my friends from Birmingham even drove down to have dinner with me!

I am truly blessed to call all these people my friends!! They are all amazing people! I really had one of the best birthday's ever! I can't wait to see what the year holds for me! God has truly blessed me and I am in awe of all the wonderful things he does daily! Thank you to all the people who helped me celebrate my birthday and thanks for all the sweet text and calls! I love all my friends so much and couldn't ask for better ones!
